Amanda Waters is a former journalist-turned-librarian, and author of the feel-good romance novels You Again and With You. She’s a midwestern girl currently living in Houston, Texas with her husband and their two children. When she’s not writing or hiding from the humidity, you can find her reading, drinking way too much coffee, or playing endless games of UNO and Exploding Kittens.
Her love of writing began early when at the seasoned age of nine, she wrote a dramatic tale of travel and revenge. Her deep and abiding love of all things books and writing led to her first professional writing job as a staff writer for a weekly newspaper where she learned that listening well, good notes, and people-watching are what it takes to make school board meetings an interesting read.
She is a Member of the Writers League of Texas and holds a degree in library science which she used as a great excuse to be surrounded by books and endless chats about what to read next. She used her time at the library to expand her reading tastes. Taking journeys into other genres and discovering lots of new authors was one of the best perks of the job.
Her debut novel “With You” won the Writers’ League of Texas 2019 Manuscript Contest Romance Category.
